Located in Pointe-Fortune in the Vaudreuil-Soulanges region near Montreal, our sea buckthorn plantation of 800 plants allows us to harvest sea buckthorn fruits available throughout the year. This little fruit deserves to be discovered as much for its unique taste as for its properties.
In total we have 7 sea buckthorn cultivars of Russian and Latvian origin.
Still little known in Quebec, sea buckthorn is gaining popularity for its benefits. It is for this reason that the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries are interested in sea buckthorn. It is a very complete fruit containing a panoply of different vitamins and properties. The food industry also uses this fruit because it has a unique flavor. Very popular with chefs, it stands out for its citrus flavors and is often used in sauces to accompany meats, in vinaigrettes and in pastries.
In addition to Omega 3, 6, 7 and 9, sea buckthorn contains vitamins A, B1 and B2, C, E and K. As for vitamin C, it is 30 times more concentrated than in vitamin C. orange. Enough to make this fruit a real vitamin bomb!
